1.Who is an EVILFOREACHMAN? Why did you choose such a name? What does it mean to you?

Anevil name´s can be resumed in the lyrics from an old song called ae4em "The hidden face that we dont know a dark attitude whitout suspicious, impervious, malicious, dramatic ends written in the soul that only the mind execute, caprice of the nature, reversal of life, an evil for each man a nightmare for each victim +2 from the deepest of the life, now arise the death there are no pattern of conscience without the known, without fault, an evil for each man, a nightmare for each victim, the hidden face that we dont know. a dark attitude without suspicious" :)

2.Your music is deeply dark. It reminds me to REVERSAL OF MAN and URANUS. What are your influences?

I talk to you about my influences but we all love the german and canadian 90's sound: Drift, Uranus, Systral, Mohinder and newer bands like Shikari and many others.
You are not going to believe it but my brother (old guitar) composed all the guitars for the 7'' when he was in the band and he only listens to electronic and experimental music. He doesn't know any band I mentioned in the previous question. Don't ask me how he did because I neither know. When my brother quit the band, the drummer went to the guitar place and we recruited our actual drummer.

3.Close to the same question, regarding influences...What brings you into hardcore music? Which bands have influenced you?

Personally I was brought to hardcore by old punk bands as Poison Idea, Cerebros Exprimidos and another ones more related to the emoviolence sound as One Eyed God Prophecy, Rites of Spring or Assay

4.Your lyrics are written in Spanish. That's great! Unfortunately i don't speak Spanish. Even if French is a Latin language like yours i can't understand it. So can you explain us some of your lyrics?

Really we don't worry too much about lyrics in the sense of being clearly and direct as for example politics oriented lyrics. The lyrics are more introspective and you can give them the meaning that you find in them by yourself. I wrote the lyrics for the 7'' one day in 15 minutes when I was angry, hopeless and desperate because diferent reasons. This doesn't mean we forget about lyrics, it is just I write when the inspiration comes by or when I feel it to.

5.You'll soon be on a European tour this summer 2005. Is it preparing well? Talking with Pablo Existencia Records revealed it was not easy to book! Did you book all the dates by yourself without any help of booking agencies? Is it important for you to work that way?

We are back from the tour and it was great!, but some shows were poor by our part because the guitarist hit his eye against a streetlight!! and he was shocked for some days, crazy!
About the preparations of the tour, we had a lot of problems because we could leave on tour in the worst season of the year. But we don't care, we are happy anyway to be able to live the adventure. It is going to be crazy because we are a chaos of organization. Possibly, the band will disband after this tour haha!. We proposed to ourselves to do the tour by ourselves and with the help of some friends in Italy, France and Belgium we started all the search for the shows. Finally our friends weren't able to get us any shows but we found another people that kindly helped and we are grateful to all them and to anyone who helped us in the little bit they could do. For us DIY is the only way to do things, but help is needed always.

6.I've seen on Miguel's webzine, Uveviolence, that you often ask a question similar to this one...What do you know about the Belgian scene? Do you know bands, label, webzine or whatever?

Ha ha... we know Heart On Fire and personally I know some bands but not too many from the emo style. But one day I received a record to review from White Circle Crime Club and I liked it.

7.How is going the emoviolence scene around Spain? Crust hardcore-punk style seem popular there with bands like EKKAIA and MADAME GERMEN.

In Spain there is not an emoviolence scene. There are not many bands but the Ekkaia and Madame Germen boom centered only in the NW region from Spain called Galiza. Some bands from the rest of the country copied Ekkaia later but they haven't had the same success as them. Some old emoviolence spanish bands as 12 Aullidos, Darkside of Soul and Outcry were of my taste and I enjoyed them much but they only released one record and then faded away.

8.For you, is the political DIY side of hardcore an important thing? « Making emo punk again » like some would say!

Of course, as I mentioned in the other question about our tour. I don't think in another way of doing things.

9.What's coming next to this awesome 7inch « Metrakids ». What are the future plans of the band?

In this moment we have some new tracks with the new line-up and we'll try to record 7-8 songs the next November or December, when we earn some money to do it.Will be great to release a 10" or something similar in vinyl. Also React with protest label offered us to appear in the Emo Armaggedon 2 with a 30 seconds song.

10.What do you think of making free music, without copyright. A music accessible to anyone who want to copy or download it. A music still with author rights...But more open. Things like « Creative Commons License » if you know it.

I have no idea about CCL. We are just trying to do it as the punk way. In Spain there is the SGAE mafia who control all the music market and they even charge for burning a blank CD with whatever info you want. If you want to release vinyl they take some money to let you release it. That's fucking shit

11.Is there a cause for which you would put more involvment in? Ecologically, politically or whatever else?

No.

12.Thank you for this short interview! You have one last scream. You can talk about whatever I would have forget!
